Tropical Diseases Task Force (TDTF), Inc./dba.180 Degrees (www.1eightydegs.com) is a 501(c)3 designated not for profit organization By the United States Internal Revenue Service in the United States of America, and in Lebanon. TDTF is also a recognized not for profit organization in Ghana, West Africa. TDTF is committed to providing quality education, treatment and research to tropical and non tropical areas. A key facet of the task force is to empower and educate citizens of the world about infectious tropical diseases and to advocate for positive social change, both within and outside of tropical regions. We strongly promote a global health agenda and focus on underserved populations.

Schistosomiasis:
Infection can occur when skin comes in contact with contaminated fresh water in which certain types of snails, that carry schistosomes, are living.
Malaria:
Malaria is transmitted in tropical and sub-tropical areas. The highest transmission is found in Africa, South of the Sahara.
HIV/AIDS:
An estimated 4.6 % of young women aged 15 to 24 are infected with HIV, compared to 1.7 % of young men (UN).
